Victoria Mims, LCPC

My name is Victoria Mims, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life, and aim to help my clients utilize their personal strengths to facilitate positive change and achieve personal wellness.  As a Psychotherapist, my focus is to help you help yourself.  We will collaboratively address your concerns from a strengths-based perspective, while equipping you with the tools to help you thrive.

I have been fortunate enough to experience very rich training experiences, including completing my BS in Psychology at the University of Southern MS (1994). I went on to pursue a Master of Arts (MA) in Community Counseling at Chicago State University (1999), and became licensed as a Clinical Professional Counselor in 2007.

I implement a multifaceted approach to therapy, and emphasize adapting treatment to fit your individual needs, with the goal of exploring and understanding your truth. I typically pull from cognitive-behavioral techniques, play therapy, and a client-centered framework, to employ an overall holistic approach to therapy. I have worked with individuals who have experienced issues with depression, anxiety, stress, loss/separation, grief, anger, trauma, and physical/sexual abuse.

Please feel free to contact me to see if we can work through whatever challenges you may have, in effort to pursue positive change and personal wellness. I look forward meeting with you!
